About iNdima
Where big dreams begin.
Founder & Chief DreamerFounder story
It started with a doodle…
Long before iNdima Kids became what it is today, it started in my res room at the University of Witwatersrand, with me doodling away and dreaming up little ideas.
I kept thinking about how special it would be to create something that made little girls feel seen, celebrated and inspired. So, I turned one of those doodles into a children’s colouring book.
And then, one little idea became another… and another.
What started as a tiny university-room dream slowly snowballed into iNdima Kids. A growing little world built around children, creativity, big dreams and making childhood feel extra special.
And honestly? We’re only just getting started.

The meaning behind the name iNdima
Inspired by the isiZulu word “iNdima,” meaning a part, a role or a contribution, iNdima Kids is about the little part we each play in shaping a child’s story and helping them dream about the role they’ll one day play in the world.
The inspiration behind Dream Big Little Explorer
Dream Big Little Explorer was created to be more than just a children's book. I wanted to create a little world where children could see themselves, their dreams and their possibilities reflected back at them. A book filled with diversity, inclusion, curiosity and inspiration. Reminding every little explorer that there is no limit to what they can dream of becoming.
Our vision
To create a world where every child has the opportunity to learn, explore, imagine, and experience a childhood filled with possibility.
Our mission
To enrich childhood through meaningful learning, inspiring experiences, and creative opportunities that nurture children's curiosity, confidence, and dreams. Creating products, services, and experiences that help little minds and big imaginations flourish.
Future plans
This is only the beginning. We dream of partnering with schools, organisations and communities to help make books and reading more accessible to children, especially those who may not always have access to them. From getting more books into little hands to creating opportunities for children to discover new stories, ideas and possibilities. We want iNdima Kids to be part of helping every child find their own story. Because every little explorer deserves a chance to dream big.
